This completely new large arbor series gives the original Battenkill Large Arbor design a whole new lease on life. Machined from 6061 aluminium barstock, this is the best value, high performance large arbor reel anywhere. It should be your reel of choice for any hard-fighting game fish. You should choose the size IV for large reservoir trout and sea trout. The size V is best adapted to bonefish, sea bass, stripers and small tarpon. The size VI will be the reel for salmon fishermen – using gel-spun backing, there is room for an 11-weight Spey line. With more backing capacity than the original design, this new reel will hold all the backing you need.
