Holographic Silver Stoat
Space restrictions dictate the little that we can say about this pattern compared to what could be said about it ! It is a Salmon fly of the highest order and a Sea Trout Fly which has very few peers. With its classical hairwing silhouette, J.C. cheeks and bright holographic Silver body, this fly fishes in an extraordinarily wide array of water conditions and colours. Smaller sizes are excellent for Sea Trout and Grilse in summer low water conditions whereas the larger sizes are excellent in the late Spring and early Autumn times.

A pattern by Jason O'Riordan, head fishing guide at the Clonanav fishery on the river Suir in Co. Tipperary. The pattern was designed to act as an indicator pattern for the small bead headed nymphs fished beneath this larke and highly visible Klinkhamer. It has worked in this fashion extraordinarily well, not to mention the fact that it catches its own fair share of fish throughout the season.
